The new disc "The Road and the Radio" came out yesterday and it is great...I don't think he could top his "When the Sun Goes Down" disc but we will see.

He's got five more major hits here, no question.

He is one hell of a song writer.

Those songs "anything but mine" and "I go back" and "there goes my life" awesome lyrics.

I really relate to his songs and words .

I also lost my best friend when he was 17, car accident, actually two close friends in the same accident, both killed.

i actually think he has all kinds of people writing for him.. in fact every song on this cd has about 6 people listed as writers .

the song " what you'd be today " was written primarily by aimee mayo . he said he loved it and wanted it because of also losing a childhood friend.

he also writes a lot too .. dont get me wrong

These lyrics...I tell ya , he sure can write em.

""Walking along beneath the lights of that miracle mile
Me and Mary making our way into the night
You can hear the cries from the carnival rides
The pinball bells and the skeeball slides
Watching the summer sun fall out of sight
There's a warm wind coming in from off of the ocean
Making its way past the hotel walls to fill the street
Mary is holding both of her shoes in her hand
Said she likes to feel the sand beneath her feet""

He does write alot, that I know...I noticed in the song, 'I go back' he mentions losing his best friend...

The country song that really started it for me though was Tim McGraw 'Live Like You Are Dying'...that was the song, that turned this classic rocker into a good ole country boy lol
